Special Meeting of the Manitook Lake Association

held at Granby Town Hall

Purpose: To review and vote to accept or reject deed restriction on a parcel of land on West Lakeview Drive (owned by Doug Max) immediately preceding a Planning/Zoning Hearing.

Meeting was called to order by Dick Sonderegger, president of the Manitook Lake Association.

John Laudati asked if all present had received and reviewed proposed deed restrictions negotiated between counsel for the MLA and counsel for Doug Max.

No changes or revisions were proposed to the restrictions as presented.

John explained that a vote of acceptance would waive the right of appeal of the MLA (regarding the zone change.)

Any deviation from the deeded restriction could be countered by MLA via Planning/Zoning enforcement officer or through the court.

Special use of the land would require hearing and approval by the PZC with the MLA reserving the right to be heard.

Following discussion of the restrictions, Bart Barker made a motion to put the issue to a vote. This was seconded by Susan Nilsen.

Several proxy votes were presented and included in the final vote. The motion passed, although not unanimously.

The MLA then attended the PZC meeting. John Laudati presented the results of the vote.

Rosemary Wilson presented the results of her research regarding the zone change and its impact on the Manitook Lake neighborhood.

Respectfully Submitted,
Susan Hackett
Secretary
